Background:
In 1959, Located in the foothills of Tennessee, in the year of 1959, four medical professionals founded South Pittsburg Municipal Hospital . It consisted of a total of 68,000 sq ft and was designed to meet the medical care needs of the growing community. Many wrongful and tragic deaths due to fatal illnesses occurred. Unfortunately, many of the deaths were children. In 1998, a new hospital opened and Old South Pittsburg Hospital doors were permanently closed. Since its closure, it has been dubbed one of the most haunted places in Tennessee.
